I came from Mumbai for meetings and meant to stay 2 days, but the weather and hostel vibe 💯 got me to stay 10 days. Met 3-4 really good people and swapped travel stories and tips, proper backpacker feel. The host was friendly and helpful. Right on BTM food street, so everything’s walkable and there are all sorts of food nearby, no need for Zomato. I’ll attach some spots I tried. There’s a nice lake about 16 min away on foot, great for a morning run. Really liked the place and would suggest it to friends. Might return in April.

I spent all of November here, and it felt like being part of a family. The caretaker, Prem, keeps the place clean and well maintained, and the owner, Roshan, is extremely welcoming and helpful. Amazing stay.

I lost 5-6 lakhs after someone who checked into the same room stole my laptop, wallet, and phone while I was asleep around 6AM. There are no security cameras. The owner/receptionist doesn’t check ID proof or take responsibility for the theft. Never ever go to this hostel. There are cases where hostel staff recorded women while they were bathing. When an aadhar card has 4 different languages, any layman would understand it is morphed. People do weed in the hostel.

I’ve tried three of this host’s Airbnbs in BTM Layout, and each one was great. There’s no staff on site, as you’d expect with an Airbnb, but Rohan is easy to reach online and really helpful. The rooms are comfortable, close to BTM’s main area, and easy on the budget. I’d happily stay again.
