Treebo Akshaya Lalbagh Inn Bangalore

The room was tidy, the washroom clean, and the stay was comfortable for the price. There’s centralized AC, a working TV and a locker. It’s easy to find on the main road, although the entrance sits a little tucked away. Breakfast is included, with a limited selection that tasted good. I’d give the stay a solid 4/5.

The staff were so cooperative, polite and ready to help whenever needed. The hotel was clean and well kept, with the room cleaned daily and freshly washed sheets and regularly replaced towels. That mattered a lot during my medical stay. I live in London and chose Treebo Akshaya Inn while my father was having cataract surgery in Bangalore. I wanted somewhere central, easy to get to and comfortable, and it met my expectations. The fresh, tasty complimentary breakfast was a highlight. A rotating menu would add more variety for guests staying longer. It was a very pleasant stay, and I’d recommend Treebo Akshaya Inn, especially to families visiting Bangalore.

The location was the only good part. Before arriving, I tried to let them know traffic would make me late, but none of the numbers worked well. One rang endlessly. After hours of trying the other, someone finally answered, said he was on leave and hung up. At check-in around 8 PM on 29-Dec-2025, the reception staff member had a mouth full of PAN, smelled strongly of it and sprayed it toward me while speaking. He was also very rude. The beds were dirty, room 205 was too dark, and no water came from the bathroom sink. I complained, but nobody came to check. I’ll never return, and this made me doubt the Treebo chain. Check the sheets for hair before sleeping. They charged an extra Rs.500 for one of my kids even though I’d entered their ages correctly when booking online. The booking.com rate included both my children, aged 8 and 11. The same PAN-mouthed staff member wouldn’t budge, and I couldn’t bear arguing with him, so I agreed to pay.

The rooms were clean and the location is great, with easy access to the bus stop and Lalbagh metro station. The facilities are below what I’d expect from a standard 3-star hotel, but overall it’s good.
