Velvette Hotel

I booked through Cleartrip, but when I arrived there was no receptionist at the counter, only cleaning staff. Cleartrip support tried calling the hotel and got no answer. Eventually the cleaning staff called the receptionist and passed the phone to me. She told me they don't accept Cleartrip bookings, even though mine was confirmed. The mismanagement kept me waiting a long time and wasted four hours when I was already exhausted. It was extremely inconvenient and unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The property owner was calm, polite, and friendly, and the reception team were welcoming and helpful. Service and hospitality were great. The rooms were clean, neat, hygienic, and well maintained, with a comfortable, pleasant feel. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend FabHotel Royal Shoots to anyone looking for somewhere comfortable and peaceful.

The rooms were fantastic, a full five out of five and worth the price. Service, though, was horrible. I stayed from the 1st to the 4th of December, and the great reviews had fooled me. At this point, I wonder if any of them were genuine. Breakfast was one day two idlis, another day a tiny portion of upma, then rice with chutney. I don't understand the charge for that. I was also surprised to be charged for a couple of extra water bottles each day. I understand if someone asks for too much, but can't I get a couple of bottles to drink? The biggest issue came on the third day. My original checkout was 11, but my admin team had clearly requested a later evening checkout when booking because my flight was late at night. They wanted 1000 for every three hours. I understand there can be a fee, but that would cost more than the room. While I was telling my admin team I was concerned about the amount and my experience, the receptionist overheard and said, “I do not have rooms for you. You have 4 mins left. Take your things and GO OUT,” in a harsh tone. When I asked why I couldn't share my concerns as a customer, she repeatedly said, “We are not a 5 star hotel. Go and stay in one.” Interesting that an employee doesn't think this is a good hotel. It felt like I was being kicked out because she was in a bad mood after I asked reasonable service questions. Then I waited ten minutes for the bill, only to be told sarcastically that it had been sent to my admin since he made the booking. It felt petty, like she wanted to make me wait. Management and owner, is this how you want employees to treat customers? Huge red flag. I'll share this on booking.com too. No one from our company will stay here again, and I'll spread the word.

I stayed for a month, and they were very flexible about what we needed. They arranged an extra table for my convenience.
