OYO Flagship 23523 Imperial Guest House

In 2024, I stayed four days during Durga Puja in a small cottage room, number 508, for 2500 per day because I couldn't find a better place in Barasat. The sheets were dirty, but they changed them when I asked. There were cockroaches and spider webs too, though I only saw one or two then, so I managed to stay. This year, 2025, we ended up back there during Durga Puja and paid 3000 for a cottage room. When we got back from pandal hopping around 3:00 am, there were hundreds of cockroaches on our trolley bags, luggage, floor, bed, curtains, lingerie, skincare products, and makeup pouches. I asked the manager for red Hit. At about 2:30 or 2:45 am, I sprayed the room, then asked him to come with a broom and cleaner. He swept up nearly 100, but more came out after he left. By 4 am I'd killed over 200 myself. The floor was covered, with hardly an inch free of dead cockroaches. I had to stay awake all night in that mess, then leave in the morning. We'd already travelled almost four hours and gone out pandal hopping again, and I thought I'd finally get some sleep after paying so much. I cried, but they wouldn't move us because they said no other room was free. It was raining heavily, so we had no choice but to stay. I asked the manager not to make us check out at 10 after we'd been awake all night, and said even a few hours of sleep by 7 would help. Still, they called on the intercom about checkout at 10. Nothing was compensated. The AC also dripped water onto the floor, curtains, and mirror. Very bad service. I hope they saw the room after we checked out. Please don't waste your money or compromise your hygiene there, and don't take your kids. It seems they don't have pest control. A big no to imperial blue guest house.

The food was delicious, with plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the rooms and washrooms were very clean. The guest house is couple-friendly, too, and I felt comfortable staying there. The staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived, and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. My room was nice and well kept, and the whole place had a pleasant feel. I'd recommend Flagship Imperial Guest House. Booking directly may cost less than booking through OYO, where the price could be higher. Rooms range from Rs.1200 to Rs.2000, which felt like a good deal for this experience.

I booked through OYO for 900, but at reception they said they wouldn't accept the booking and made me cancel it. I then had to pay 1200 offline for the same room. If you're booking through OYO, contact reception first. Poor management.

The room wasn't hygienic, and the toilet had no seat pad. They didn't provide a toilet kit either. Room service, though, was great, and the boy was a kind person.
