I wouldn’t come back. The room service and staff behaviour were poor, and reception calls weren’t being answered. It seemed like they’d deliberately left the phone engaged. I had to remind them three times about tea, which still wasn’t brought to the room before 8 A.M. They kept telling me I could have it with breakfast on the roof top. The kettle didn’t work, and there were no tea bags or anything else in the room.

The stay was miserable. The rooms smelled of booze and cigarettes, and the staff kept the reception phone off the hook at night, so you couldn’t reach them. The exhaust still wasn’t working after two complaints at reception over two days. With no ventilation, the smell lingered for 15 minutes after someone used the washroom, making it hard for the next person. Pathetic service.

I’ve stayed in more than 200 hotels, and this was the worst service I’ve had. The staff were rude, and you can’t get bed tea before 8.30 because the pantry staff arrive after that. There’s no soundproofing, so rooftop parties disturbed the peace late into the night. Don’t stay here.

The atmosphere at Kapson Palace was really relaxing. My room was clean, and the staff were friendly. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The staff were very sweet and well educated, and the management was good. My room was neat and clean, and food service was very fast.
