OYO 75508 Ssj Residency

I’ve stayed at Hotel SSJ/Sai Jagannath for a long time, but my stays on March 24-25 and 25-26 left me very disappointed. The conditions and service were poor, and the charges didn’t match what was advertised. For a classic room, they asked for ₹1,000 in hidden fees on top of the OYO rate, despite stains on the walls, dirty sheets and pillow covers, and AC and TV remotes that didn’t work, problems I’d already raised before. Even deluxe rooms at ₹1,100-1,200 fell short of basic standards. On holidays and weekends, suites went for ₹1,200 or more, which made me feel exploited. I had booked a suite at the displayed rate of ₹898 for March 24-25 and ₹850 for March 25-26, but on arrival was charged ₹1,200 because of the holiday and weekend. They also explicitly discouraged customers from complaining to OYO, saying they would deny any extra charges. The staff, including manager Rahul Sen, were unprofessional and dismissive, brushing off concerns until I escalated them through the booking app. Hotel SSJ/Sai Jagannath doesn’t deliver fair pricing or quality service, and the rate differences, poor rooms, and indifferent staff made it an unsatisfactory place to stay.

The room was spacious, a couple of the service guys were good, and the food was good too. But the bed was very dirty at first, and the towels weren’t clean either. Only after I shouted did they bring two towels and two soaps for two people. Morning tea didn’t come until after 10 am, and the ACs were horribly bad. The road leading in is in very poor condition, and the intercom only works sometimes. It’s okay if you can get it below 1000, especially since it’s close to AIIMS Bhubaneswar. 😂

Management was awful and unhelpful. If you call about an OYO booking, they charge extra, then ask for more money at checkout over a bedsheet spot that was less than 1 mm in size. Their behavior was really irritating, and they pressured me to pay.

The room was awful, with cockroaches and bed bugs. They told me to cancel my booking and pay the hotel directly, but gave me no receipt or bill for the money. It feels like they’re fooling people. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.
