Hotel Downtown

The rooms were filthy. All nine had cockroaches crawling around, and I killed ten in room 204 while seeing many more. Some rooms had broken geysers, and no one was available to fix them. Trash bags had been reused from previous guests. No one answered the hotel phone when we called for help. The bedding in our room had hair and food bits left by previous guests, so we pointed it out to a staff member and made them change it. The bathroom drain didn't work and the room flooded. We asked three times for a kettle, but never got one, even though other rooms had one. There was no daily turndown or replacement water bottles. Some rooms smelled of cigarette smoke despite this being a nonsmoking hotel, which was a problem for guests with asthma. We're ashamed we invited family from all over India to stay at this substandard hotel. My biggest regret is not taking photos. I was so disgusted.

We visited Downtown for a birthday party, and the arrangement was great. The food service was amazing and the staff were respectful. I took off one star because there isn't enough parking, so I had to leave the car roadside.

Both the veg and non veg dishes were unbelievably tasty, and the sea food was next level. Special thanks to the wonderful chef of Down Town, Mr Santosh. Thanks a lot for serving us such delicious food 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Our family dinner at hotel downtown was amazing. The staff were very humble and kind, always smiling, and the food was the best in town.
