Collection O 30071 Hotel Samruddhi

The food was okay for the price, but the property was dirty and stank. The hallways were a mess, with brooms and used clothes lying around. Our bathroom had no light, and the TV remote was missing. At checkout in the morning, a staff member asked for our phone while the Oyo app was open. We thought he needed to check something, but he completed checkout and gave the hotel a 5-star rating from our phone. When we said we'd rate it later, he replied, "2 minute ka kaam hai." If they cleaned the place and got rid of the smell, it might be worth the money.

We arrived at 11.30 pm and found the hotel gates shut. We had to shout for 5 to 10 minutes before anyone woke up. Power was out in some rooms, and even after we complained, nobody changed our room or took the issue seriously. They went back to sleep while we were left dealing with the problem. We waited for power from 3.15 am to 4.10 am and got no proper response. We left after about half an hour of trying to get help, though we had only stayed around 4 hours. After we left, we complained to Oyo for a refund, but they also just said they would try to change the room. Very bad.

The staff were helpful, the hotel felt safe for an overnight stay, and our room had been cleaned before we came in. The food was good, though a little spicy, and the restaurant waiters were helpful. Parking is inside the hotel premises, and the rate was a decent 1500 per night. There were a few mosquitoes in the room, which staff couldn't really help with, and the linen should be changed more often. Water was leaking a little across the tile floor, leaving one corner slippery. Helpful staff are why I'd give it 4 stars, but the dirty linen and leaking water cost it one.

We had a confirmed booking, but when we arrived our room had already been sold to couples on an hourly basis. The staff were rude and didn't even offer us a seat while sorting things out. This felt like a brothel house operating under the Oyo name. I'd strongly recommend not booking this property.
