Bliss Holiday Inn

No one wants to stay somewhere with cockroaches and unclean conditions. We had no other option at the time, but the owner’s rude response when we asked to extend by one day pushed us to find a better place in Goa, even though most rooms seemed empty. I don’t think you’ve visited hotels in Goa: they don’t charge for water bottles, and many leave them free in the room. We had to order water and then go buy it from a shop, which showed poor maintenance. This hotel has no staff.

For a two-day stay, around ₹12k for a three-bedroom place was quite affordable for Goa. Bliss Holidays Inn is budget-friendly, the staff were polite, and it’s conveniently located for exploring Calangute. A few things could be better: we had to ask the front desk for both the Wi-Fi password and drinking water, the geyser didn’t work properly, and the rooms felt a bit cramped. There also wasn’t anywhere to dry wet clothes. Still, the rest of our stay was good, and it’s a decent economical choice for a short visit.

Steve at reception was helpful and gave us directions for getting around. The rooms had balconies, decent blankets, cupboards and towels, and the AC was set to 24. We ordered veg briyani from the in-house restaurant, and it was pretty decent. Our experience was good.

The staff were very helpful, and they’ll even keep your luggage after checkout if you need it. I stayed for two days, and during season the price is around 1500-1700 rs per day. Calungute beach is 1 km away. The rooms are good, but the AC stays at one fixed temperature that you can’t adjust, and the hot water system wasn’t maintained well, sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t. Aside from those two issues, it was a good stay. A reasonable budget hotel to consider in season.
