OYO 5242 Zinho's

I’m writing this while still at the hotel. The rooms are clean, but I don’t think they’re worth the price. Management weren’t friendly or polite, and I found cheaper places nearby with more amenities. Calling this a three-star hotel feels off. A pool doesn’t make up for missing basics: there was no toilet paper, no in-room refrigerator in the standard room, and no complimentary morning coffee in the room even though breakfast was included. They said coffee in the room cost extra, or we could get free service at the buffet. I’d skip the breakfast buffet too, since it was just puri bhaji and toast. I paid 1,200 for my next stay nearby and got a bigger room with all the amenities.

We booked through booking.com, and the hotel confirmed our room. Then, before we arrived, they called to say there were no rooms available. They take online bookings, confirm them, and call about an hour before check-in to say there’s no room. When you get there, they send you to a nearby place that was unhygienic, unclean, and low class, so they can earn commission. The manager was extremely rude, acting as if we’d come to stay in his own home. Don’t fall for their trap. They don’t deserve even one star.

My experience here was awful, and I felt extremely unsafe. Someone was looking into the bathroom through the ventilator. I complained to the staff, but they did nothing and insisted it couldn’t happen. I have proof of the ventilator and the spot the person was looking from. The CCTV wire there had been cut, and there was a ladder someone could use to reach the ventilator. Staff were rude and arrogant, didn’t offer help to fix it afterward, and showed no basic courtesy or willingness to help. I had to travel elsewhere right away, so I couldn’t file a police complaint or take similar action. I really hope this place shuts down. The room was also very unclean and had cockroaches. When I asked for hot water or any help, the staff were extremely rude. I wouldn’t want anyone to go through what I did. Please stay safe, read reviews of places like this, and do your research.

The room we got was 102, even though our OYO booking was for room 124. They also charged us more than 2,500 rupees, though the place wasn’t worth 500. The TV display had lines, the plumbing had problems, the AC didn’t work, and there were lots of mosquitoes. There were serious safety hazards too: exposed wiring at the AC’s main MCB, broken sockets, and uncovered switches. The reception staff seemed useless and careless, and didn’t seem to care about the condition of the hotel. There’s no guest parking and no housekeeping staff to carry bags or luggage. The glasses they offered us at reception smelled bad. I strongly suggest never booking this hotel on OYO, listed as oyo 5242 zinho. It’s the most disgusting hotel I’ve seen, and I don’t know how it got permission to provide hospitality. For everyone’s safety, don’t book it.
