On my recent visit, I noticed dirty floors and worn furniture. Hot water was available only for a limited time, and breakfast wasn't served until 9 in the morning. I had stayed here many times long ago, when cleanliness, staff attitude, and food quality were very good, but those qualities no longer seem to be there. I still recognized some staff, and they recognized me, though that didn't help. The receptionist did try to accommodate many of our problems.

The rooms are basic, but good enough if you're out all day. It's safe, centrally placed for the main spots, and the staff are friendly. Shopping and food are right around the hotel, with plenty available nearby.

I had a very good stay at Astoria and will come back and recommend it. The location was good, and the rooms were comfortable, with good mattresses. My single room had windows looking out at the trees. Vetu's room cleaning service was very efficient, and the women were nice. The staff were smiling and helpful with anything, from booking a taxi and storing luggage to carrying bags to our rooms. My Nomoshkor to all of you. Isabelle from France.

We spent 4 nights here and would definitely visit again. The staff were supportive and helpful while I did lots of shopping, and it was easy to find a rickshaw or taxi at any time. We wanted a clean, budget-friendly hotel close to New Market, and Astoria Hotel was only a 5 minute walk away. Our room was clean and comfortable. Thanks!

We had a good stay. The staff were friendly and the service hospitable, with the hotel conveniently placed within walking distance of the Esplanade shopping area.
