We were close to the beach, and the garden was kept nicely. The shack was good too. Our room looked out toward the sea, with mosquito nets over the beds, which was a great little extra.

The Dmellos shack on the beach served generous portions of Indian, Chinese and English food at very reasonable prices. We found the beach location excellent, and the gardens around the guest house were carefully maintained. Our room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and it had both air-conditioning and a fan. There was a mosquito net, and staff brought us plug-in mosquito repellents. We stayed for three nights in February 2025. The approach is along a very narrow road, but don't let that put you off. The owner and staff were polite and friendly. We had no problems ourselves, though we overheard another couple say their issue was dealt with quickly and efficiently. Wifi was intermittent, but worked about 90% of the time. The electricity went out occasionally, which is common in Goa. It was a very nice, friendly place, and we'd definitely return if we were in Goa again.
The beachside restaurant had amazing food, and the hotel and restaurant staff were friendly. It's a quiet, clean and comfortable place, well run and looked after. You can get to shops and an ATM about 400m away, and the beach is lovely for walks or runs. A little on the expensive side.
Parking was the tricky part of our stay. The guest house is around 400 m down a very narrow, winding lane from Candolim-Aguada road, with only four or five parking bays and space for two or three cars on the property. Spots are first come, first served. I drove my Tata Nexon in with the mirrors folded in a few places. If you enter and can't find a space, reversing out can be difficult and may require help from the staff. I wasn't comfortable relying on that, so the owner arranged parking in another lane about 1 km away. It was also tricky, but I preferred not depending on anyone. We had to walk that kilometre before or after parking, which was good exercise. We had a wonderful time at Dmellos Sea View Home. The owner and his family were helpful and good to deal with. I stayed four days and three nights, and the northern end of Candolim beach is a very good location. The sea is only partly visible from the sea-view rooms, but I enjoyed the sunset from ours. The Queen room had two balconies, one toward the sea and one toward the garden, and the room and balcony matched the photos. The gardens are the way to reach the beach and Dmellos shack, where the seating is arranged well. We didn't care for the food, though. The menu didn't offer much for meals, and the taste wasn't great for the price.
A calm, peaceful place, neat and clean. 'Love & Mercy' is close to the beach, and you can watch the sunset right from your room with a cup of tea. The owner is friendly and it's good value for money. You can only get here on foot or by bike. Dmellos Shack is nearby too. Planning to come again!
