For OYO Homes, Rs. 800- Rs. 900 seems fair. It's a home managed by OYO, as the name suggests, rather than a hotel. The staff were good and helpful, and cleanliness was better. To get the room cleaned, you'll need to leave your key or ask for housekeeping. Every room has AC, a chair, a table, and a bedside light for reading at night or whatever. Wi-Fi is available, but you have to ask for it. Mobile internet doesn't work very well here, though voice calls work fine. Otherwise, you'll be sorry you didn't ask for the Wi-Fi.

A friendly family runs this OYO home. We enjoyed our stay, with a spacious room, TV, bed, towels, toiletries, and a lovely balcony. There's also an in-house restaurant. Candolim beach is just a two-minute walk away, with lots of restaurants in the area. If you want a good hotel on a budget, this is a great option for the location.

The accommodation is cheap and the location is good, but the AC wasn't very cold. I stayed three nights and they wanted payment upfront in cash, which makes it hard to change rooms after two days if you're unhappy. There's no parking inside the premises. I went in the off season, so there weren't many vehicles around, but I still felt uneasy leaving my car in a public area. There's plenty of space, so they should let customers park inside.

The location in a posh area next to the beach is the only good thing about this hotel. Mobile connectivity is completely absent, so you can't make or receive calls or use the internet. There's no desk phone to reach reception either. We only found out after arriving, and had to pay an extra rs100 per day for Wi-Fi. Our train ticket was cancelled and we missed the SMS about it because there was no signal. The pillows were very dirty even though their outer covers were clean. The shower tap had been removed, so we had to collect water from the shower in a bucket. The owners said they removed the tap from all rooms because people finish the water. The basin tap has such low flow that our hands kept hitting the basin, which was uncomfortable. Three charging points didn't work. After we told the owner, he gave us an extension chord. Parking inside isn't allowed, so we had to pay each day to park outside. I've stayed in many good OYO rooms, but this was the worst. After I reported the issues to OYO, they sent executives to inspect the hotel and gave a 50% refund immediately.

Check the room before paying. OYO sells a donkey as a horse here. There's no ventilation, and they didn't even give us towels. I paid 800 for a disgusting place, checked out on the second day, and found a room elsewhere with a pool for 580 rs. Avoid this property, and avoid Punjabi Tadka, the restaurant on the premises too. Its rating fits the place best.
