Bear Valley Resort is close to Gandhi and Subhash Market. Our room was clean, and the mountains outside made for a beautiful view. The staff were friendly and the food was very tasty. A day here could feel like heaven in Dalhousie.

The peaceful atmosphere and the beautiful view from our room made the stay especially relaxing. The resort was clean, and room service was quick. Staff were polite, helpful, and ready to assist with a smile. We had a wonderful stay at Bear Valley Resort, and the food was delicious, with plenty of choices, especially at breakfast.

Lekhraj and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful. The property itself is old, and there’s no central heating. They offer a space heater that doesn’t warm the room, then charge an extra Rs 300 per day without telling you first. The management isn’t very transparent. Our room view wasn’t impressive, so paying extra for a balcony doesn’t seem worth it. The website pictures are very deceptive. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
