Hotel Blue Magnets

We booked through make my trip for our dharamshala Dalhousie tour, and I don’t know why MMT recommended this place. It’s listed as a 3 star property, but in my opinion it doesn’t deserve even one star. They upgraded us to a super deluxe room, yet it felt like a basic lodge room. The rooms are small and cramped, with no view and no air conditioning. Our room phone didn’t work, and there’s no room service or ala karte kitchen. It seemed to me that bookings mainly come from groups, college or school students, who made a lot of noise and disturbed the other guests. If you want your holiday spoiled, book here. Good luck if you do.

The buffet breakfast and dinner feature fresh local food that reviewers often call homemade and flavorful. Evenings can include bonfires, tambola, and karaoke alongside the meals. For rooms, there are suites and deluxe choices with extra space for families or anyone seeking scenic inspiration. Wooden floors, comfortable beds, and large windows look out onto the mountains. Many guests mention spotless rooms and modern features such as flat-screen TVs.

A special mention to Mithun Kumar, an amazing person and musician whose presence brought extra charm to our stay. We felt warmly cared for by Adishwar Singh and his entire family, uncle, aunty, and every staff member. They treated our family like their own, with genuine kindness, cooperation, and smiles throughout. It felt like a home away from home, and I’d strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dalhousie.

The service made this stay special. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and paaji especially went out of the way to make us feel at home. Our room was clean and spacious. I’d recommend the hotel to everyone.
