Hotel Megha View

The staff were polite and generally helpful, with warm, local hospitality. Room service could be slow sometimes, but they did their best to handle requests. The food was freshly cooked and homely, with limited choices, but what we had tasted good. Rooms were a decent size, clean, and comfortable, with basic amenities. Megha View is quiet and away from the noise, a calm scenic place in Dalhousie for families and people who love nature. Its name fits the breathtaking panoramic views of green mountains and peaceful valleys. It’s a good spot to unwind, though it’s a bit far from the main Gandhi Chowk area, so transport or a private vehicle is advisable. Overall, a pleasant 4/5 stay.

We stayed for two nights and it felt like home. The room had an excellent balcony view, and the bathroom was very spacious with hot water available around the clock. Room service was quick and good.

The weather around this place is wonderful, and the hotel is in a popular tourist spot, so it stays busy. Our room and washroom were clean, and the staff were good. Parking is available, though the area is small. The food at the hotel was good, but I’d choose from the many places to eat at Gandhi chowk.

The manager and landlady were friendly and very helpful, and breakfast was good. I’d avoid the other food, though. Hotel Megha View is about 2.5 Kms from Mall road/Gandhi Market, and a cab costs Rs 200 each way. The walk toward Mall Road is downhill, so it’s manageable and comes with a nice view. The hotel feels a little old-fashioned, but the rooms are big and the bathrooms huge. Every room has a balcony facing the view, which gets better the higher up you are. The lower rooms were a bit dirty. The linen was old but clean.
