They wouldn't give us a key to lock the room from the outside, which I found baffling. A hotel should make that clear before taking payment. The owners seem not to understand what a difficult position this puts visitors in when they have valuables that can't sensibly be left in an unlocked room. I've never come across such a bizarre setup in any hotel. There was no wifi. Instead of bedsheets there was a thick blanket that didn't seem clean and was useless in warm weather. Our room had AC, but they said using it would cost extra. I paid 1000rs per night. This is a runner-up, though perhaps not the winner, among the worst hotels I've ever stayed in.

The place smelled awful, and the room was tiny and filthy. There was a mix of cats, mold, rot, and damp throughout the building, and our room smelled of smoke, mold, and poop. Mosquitoes were in the room too. The dirty, holey curtains hung like rags behind the stinking glass of rotting windows, and we should have turned around as soon as we saw them. We left early. There was no management, hospitality, service, or even basic arrangements, and the hotel staff weren't professional. Nothing about the place was positive. How can such an awful place be in Chandigarh, such a beautiful city? Worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and the worst I could imagine seeing. There's no good room here, don't choose this hotel in the city beautiful.

We got the room for Rs 800/-, which was good value for money. The rooms were neat and clean, and the staff were kind and humble. Families can stay here too. A great place to stay, thanks.
