The cold weather was a lot, but we still managed to see Elante mall, Rock garden, Sukhna Lake, Sector 7 market and Sector 28 market on our Christmas trip to "The City Beautiful"-Chandigarh, 25'Dec-26'Dec. We also watched Mardaani 2 at PVR Elante. The trip itself was wonderful and cost less than 2000/- for two days. Happy to answer questions. The bad part was OYO. I booked for the first time, about 20 days ahead, but when we arrived they refused to give us a room, first saying none was available and then claiming there was no hot water. I don't think that was true. We had to find a nearby hotel in 7c.

The only people trying to make this awful place work were the two young men covering the entire staff, 24x7. OYO should be ashamed of listing it as an Oyo room. You have to climb two flights of stairs, then deal with smelly, stuffy rooms, noisy AC's, a 21" tv and a gesyer that barely works. The kitchen is a filthy 5x5 ft space. The supposed 24x7 catering comes from a local dhaba, and the food is an insult to dhabas here, where most serve excellent food. Breakfast means either 2 alu parathas or 2 small toast with omelette. Ask for butter and you have to wait for them to get it. Payment is cash only because the credit card swipe is in operational. The most disgusting experience I've had in 25 years.

The staff were really friendly, and the food was good too. It's in a handy spot for getting to Chandigarh's tourist places, about a 5 min cab ride away.

The rooms are decent and the service was alright, though the place looks better in the pictures. The AC wasn't cooling properly.

We booked through oyo, but they turned us away when we arrived. They said oyo was offering the room at too low a price. The service was bad.
