The beach is about a one-minute walk away, and some rooms, especially the ones with balconies, have a lovely sea view. We also appreciated that Hotel Asha Niwas welcomes pets, and the Bengali food was a highlight. Our rooms and bathrooms were average to good, but the staff were so attentive and courteous that we felt right at home. We had a genuinely pleasant couple of days there as a family.
The food was tasty, though vegetarian options felt a little overpriced. We found the hotel calm, clean, and comfortable, with helpful, polite staff and owner, and it was close to the beach. There are quite a few street dogs around at night, so late walks are probably best avoided. A peaceful stay for families or friends. I'd give it 6.5/10.
The food was delicious, and the staff treated us really well. We booked 3 rooms for 2 nights, and the owner was very good too. It's very close to the beach, so all in all, we had a lovely stay 😊
The room service was fairly good, but the food wasn't nice. Food service was really poor and expensive, too. In my opinion, you can stay here, but get your meals from another restaurant.
There isn't much to do in the evenings, and there's no sea view. The room was just so-so, though the balcony was nice. The AC only worked on or off at 17 degrees, and the remote didn't respond, so you can't control the temperature. Food quality was good but the prices were very high, and staff behaviour wasn't satisfactory. I had booked at Rs.1400 per night, but they asked for Rs.1500. After a heated argument, they agreed to the original price. Come without high expectations.
