This was not a safe place for a family. The host treated mallus and non-mallus very differently, and came across as racist. Although it's couple-friendly and seems to be used mostly for some XYZ purpose, I wouldn't book it through OYO. When we got to the property, they said they no longer do business with OYO.
The receptionists were kind, and service was good around the clock. The generator also came on in good time during power cuts. I had a pleasant stay at Sri Bhadra hotel, a good experience and an easy five stars from me 🥰.
Call ahead before booking. They wanted more money than I had paid through OYO, so I didn't pay. I cancelled the trip and booked another hotel instead.
It's a clean lodge with good rooms for the price, and it's the only one close to kattil mekathil devi temple. I felt safe there even as a solo woman. There are little village tea shops nearby with good breakfast and food. I'd highly recommend staying here.
The staff are friendly, and there are a few small shops nearby in a nice location. The rooms are moderately spacious, and free WiFi is provided. A good hotel.
