Fabhotel Nachiappa Ra Puram, Chennai

I came from Andhra Pradesh and stayed for five days. The welcome was good, the staff were good, and it was a great experience.

My week-long stay at Nachiappa Residency last month was a bad experience. On check-in, they gave me one towel and a water bottle. When I called the reception using the room intercom for cleaning, I was told each time that they’d send the cleaner when he arrived. The room was cleaned only three days out of the week, and only after many requests. There was no WiFi. Reception said it hadn’t been recharged; the owner, a woman, shouted at me as if I were her servant. She said WiFi was available but there was a technical issue, then argued that the hotel was in a prime location. I was shocked that a connection issue could last seven days. An office boy revealed they’d been pretending, and that WiFi had been unavailable for the past ten days. There were no snacks, no housekeeping staff, and the owner was very rude and egoistic. The room AC didn’t cool, and the service was pathetic. I wouldn’t recommend booking here. If you’re spending money, find somewhere better.

The staff were courteous and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Service was smooth from check-in to check-out, and the peaceful atmosphere made it feel like home. The hotel has modern infrastructure and well-maintained facilities. My stay at Nachiyappa Residency Chennai was fantastic. I’d highly recommend it for business or leisure travel.

Our stay at [Nachiappa residency] was really frustrating. We told the staff when we’d be back and asked them not to check out our room. Even though we’d said we would return within the allowed time, they checked us out without permission. When we came back, they said it was too late and we had to leave. It was unprofessional and disappointing. I hope management takes steps to improve the service.
