Paradise Guest House

Good room, and there’s car parking. I stayed for three days with my family. The staff were good, and the room boy was friendly and always ready to clean the guest room.

The rooms themselves were nice and had en suite bathrooms. I was first quoted 800 rupees, which seemed too much in the off-season. They lowered it to 600, which I appreciate, though I think they could have gone lower. They put me on the top floor, where there was no internet, then insisted I move to a lower room to get online. The staff helped, but moving was inconvenient. Communication was also a problem when staff didn’t speak English well. On my last morning, I fell ill and urgently needed drinking water, but they misunderstood and brought up a bucket of hot water for a shower.

The rooms are in very bad condition and dirty. They aren’t worth 1000 rupees, more like 500-800, but they charge 1200 for a double and 1500 for a triple. Don’t let auto drivers lead you to places like this. We had to stay because of an urgent situation.

I was surprised to find a good hotel in such a busy area. The rooms were clean and spacious, there was good car parking nearby, and they charged Rs:1000 for the room.
