The spacious rooms and location were the best parts. We booked non-refundable, so we put up with a lot, but the reception ladies didn’t seem interested in solving problems when I complained on day one. The rooms and property are dated and poorly maintained. In room 505, the window locks were broken or missing, and the windows could be opened from either side. A technician came and left without a word. Reception then said repairs would be done with me inside the room. I objected and was moved to 509, which had the same issue. It seemed none of the windows had locks, and the team didn’t check whether I was satisfied. Fixtures were nearly broken, doors damaged, walls had fungus, the AC worked off and on, and pests crawled around. The bathroom had no ventilation or exhaust. Noise was the worst part. Broken windows with gaps let in sound and mosquitoes. Road traffic right beside the property, including ambulance sirens, horns, and racing vehicles, kept me from sleeping on both nights. Breakfast was mediocre at best, with lukewarm tea or coffee served cup by cup on request. There was an omelette counter but no live dosa counter. The stay was deeply disappointing and felt like being in a bureaucratic government place.

Their lunch is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. It’s one of the best places for Kerala food, with good service and plenty of car parking.

I stayed for nearly 18 days and had no complaints. The hotel felt trustworthy and well maintained, with trained staff, and it’s very close to Apollo hospital Chennai. It felt like home, and the food was very good, made with very little oil and salt.

The staff were sweet, helpful, and good. The rooms were not clean at all, though. I checked three rooms, and each had hair on the beds and towels. One even had a used band-aid stuck to the bedframe. That’s disgusting and a risk for spreading infections.
