The stay felt well worth the money. The atmosphere and rooms were pleasant, and the staff were very polite. Service was top-notch and gave us plenty of privacy. I loved the visit, though there was a small bug problem in the bed. 💯👍🙁✨

Breakfast was complimentary, tasty, and had a good variety. The coffee was especially refreshing, and the hotel was very kid-friendly, which mattered a lot for our family. The receptionist was warm and polite and made our late-night check-in easy. Service stayed prompt and courteous, and we felt well looked after. A comfortable, welcoming stay. I'd recommend it for families.

A good place to rest on the way south from Chennai. It's near the main highway, making travel to Mahabalipuram and Pondicherry convenient, and it gets you away from the city's congestion if you're heading south. Parking isn't dedicated, but you can leave the car on the road across from the hotel, where it feels safe and is under hotel security. The complimentary breakfast is a packed South Indian dosa thali from outside, since the hotel has no restaurant. I stayed one night, and the service ran smoothly.

The room had dust and stains and wasn't neat, so we had a poor stay at Upar hotel. We hope the Upar team will address this and provide better service next time.
