The beach is only about a two-minute walk away, and there are several nice restaurants nearby. Cleetus Homestay has simple, clean rooms with air conditioning, and the prices are fair, around €25-35 depending on the season. Jomon and his family are incredibly warm and welcoming, and they really care about guests, so you feel at home right away. Breakfast is fantastic, with fresh fruit, toast, local Kerala dishes or a continental option, plus coffee and tea. Drinking water is included too. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality, I’d happily stay again.

The host was incredibly friendly, the place was neat and clean, and the beach is just a few steps away. We got a delicious breakfast in the price too. It was an amazing stay, much better than a 3-star hotel in India, and I’d highly recommend it. One small suggestion: adding a kettle to the room would let guests make hot tea or water any time without having to disturb the host. Thank you!

A relaxing place to stay, with the beach very close by. The service was friendly and dependable, and the private individual rooms were comfortable. Free breakfast was a great way to start the day.

The beach is just 100 metres away, and we could see it from our room through the sliding glass door. Marari Beach Cleetus Homestay is also about 3 km from Mararikulam Railway Station and 6 km from Krepasanam Church, where we were visiting for the Akanda Japamala Rally. We spent two nights there and found the rooms neat and comfortable, with a peaceful, homely feel. Mr. Jomon and his family were kind and caring from the moment we arrived, and made us feel at home. The approach road is in poor condition, though, and dogs barking at night were a bit disturbing. Even with those drawbacks, we had a pleasant, relaxing stay near the sea.

The owners and staff were so kind and thoughtful, and the breakfasts were exceptional. I’ve stayed at homestays all over India, and this has become my favorite. It’s in an ideal spot for visiting the lovely shores of Marari Beach. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
