The location is good, though getting in and out in your own vehicle takes decent driving skills. The food was just okay for getting by, since it’s the only place in that hill area, but I couldn’t eat it more than a day. The chapati was an oil-soaked paratha, mixed vegetables had far too much oil, tea was bad, and the coffee tasted like tea. The pool isn’t maintained or temperature controlled. I asked the “super guy awesome guy” everyone talks about for cleaning and other service, but he refused. I asked him to add chlorine to help avoid waterborne illnesses. The rooms aren’t lit properly, and I didn’t feel comfortable when I entered. The bathroom was clean, but poorly maintained, with switchboards hanging outside their frames. Dust had collected in unused places like the drawers and almirah. I don’t recommend this for families, and it didn’t feel like what I was looking for in chikmagaluru. If you’re not travelling with family or are after an Oyo-style stay, this could suit you.

We stopped at GWR on a recent trip to mullayangiri and found an awesome place to stay. On a clear day, you can watch the sunset from the valley view rooms. The front desk executive Waseem was a great help and always available. Hospitality, service, and food were all taken care of. The breakfast selection was nice, and lunch was delicious and generous.

We had a great holiday stay at The Green Wood Resort. The location was peaceful and scenic, lovely for relaxing and enjoying nature, and the rooms were spacious and clean with a cozy feel that made us feel at home. Staff were friendly, quick to help, and always smiling. There’s a little room to improve the amenities, but otherwise everything was top-notch. A solid experience, and I’d recommend it for a peaceful getaway.

Mr. Wasim deserves a special mention for his personal care and wonderful hospitality. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. The whole team was attentive, polite, and ready to help throughout my stay at The Green Wood Resort. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it a relaxing visit. I’d highly recommend this place for comfort and excellent service.
