Suprit at the front desk was helpful, which is why I’m not giving it 1 star. The location is okay, but there aren’t proper food options. They have snacks, though it’s only maggi and omelette, and only in the evening. Drinking water costs extra. The pool is very small and dirty. Overall, this has been a terrible, very average experience so far, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

There’s a safety claim that the place is 100% safe and secured, but I saw warnings about big snakes around, especially at midnight. Watch your step if you’re walking around late. Trippr, Chikmagalur has deluxe rooms for bachelors, couples, and families, as well as tent stays, cottages, and rooms. There are activities like a swimming pool, campfire, and horse riding, so there’s potential for a fun stay if you don’t mind roughing it. They don’t provide breakfast, lunch, or dinner, so you’ll need to sort out meals yourself. Don’t expect much in the way of amenities either, like paste, brushes, or water bottles. Come prepared.

The manager was well spoken and helpful, and I liked the ambience and amenities. For the price, it’s a decent place for a family stay. We had 4 people sharing a room with 2 beds, and it was good, but the ventilation was poor. With only 1 window, the room felt suffocating.

There was rarely anyone at reception, so we had no one to turn to with concerns, especially at night. The hostel was full of people who were very loud and drunk all night, and we couldn’t sleep. Apparently no rules are enforced and no one makes sure guests get basic comfort. Outside, the property looks nice, with open lawns and common spaces. We booked a spacious tenthouse, but it was very unhygienic: the floormat, curtains, and bedding were all dirty, and ants were crawling everywhere.
