Shivdhara Resort

We paid ₹71,000 for the stay, but got no proper hospitality or service for that price. Requests were often ignored, and there seemed to be no accountability. Most of the staff came across as rude, unprofessional, and unresponsive, as if helping guests were a favor. Room cleaning was another problem. We reminded them repeatedly, but nobody came to clean. The food was average. This is a 5-star property in name only, with service that felt worse than a 1-star experience. Shivdhara Waterpark and Resort was frustrating and poor value for money. I’d advise others not to visit.

The locker setup was inconvenient and poorly managed, and quite a few water slides were closed, which took away much of the fun. The water also looked dirty. On top of that, visitors didn’t have proper access to drinking water, and the staff were rude and unhelpful. Service overall was poor, especially for a ticket price that felt high compared with the facilities. I left feeling the park wasn’t worth the money. Cleanliness, maintenance, visitor facilities, and customer service all need major improvement.

The food was a real letdown for our family. We ordered dal fry, jeera rice, and Manchurian for ₹1670. The price itself wasn’t the issue, but the jeera rice was so undercooked it couldn’t be eaten, and my kids couldn’t eat anything. That ruined our day. The water park also seemed poorly maintained. There were hardly any activities for children. The listed indoor games were mostly for adults, so kids would get bored quickly. We could manage as adults, but with the kids unhappy, the trip felt wasted. We came expecting a 5-star family experience, yet the prices were 2-3x the usual rates without matching quality. Many 3-star hotels offer better value and service. I’d rate it 2/5, mainly for the building and infrastructure. Hospitality, food, and kid-friendly facilities need serious work, and I wouldn’t recommend it to families.

The biggest problem was the swimming pool. Its water was very dirty and poorly maintained, and the pool head spoke in an extremely unprofessional way. His tone, language, and manner felt disrespectful and insulting, which isn’t acceptable in hospitality. There were some bright spots at Shivdhara Resort. The room was good, and the property looked clean, well maintained, and properly managed, with no visible dirt. Mr.Noor and the kitchen and dining team were supportive, polite, and gave excellent service, easily worth 5 stars. Most of the other staff and services were disappointing, though. Only 1-2 staff members were helpful; the rest weren’t supportive. The infrastructure and cleanliness were good, but staff behavior and pool management need serious improvement.
