Le Meridien Cochin

Breakfast was exceptional, with remarkable variety, and the F&B team’s attentiveness and energy made it even better. Thanks to Sujith, Caroline, Mayoosha, and Minesh Mathew for their hospitality and care. We also appreciated the room upgrade, which looked out onto the garden and pool. My son thoroughly enjoyed the bathtub, though I do keep water conservation in mind. There was a slight check-in delay because a group left late, but the team handled it warmly and professionally. They invited us to relax at the coffee shop and have fresh juice while we waited. It was a memorable stay, full of warmth and professionalism.

The staff are why we gave Le Meridien in Kochi a definite 5/5. Every team we dealt with, from luggage handlers and reception to cleaners, restaurant staff, chefs, pool staff and the bar, went out of their way to make us comfortable. They stopped to chat and get to know us, and the service felt personal and genuine. The food was fantastic, with plenty of choice for different tastes and not just food aimed at westerners. My wife and I are from the UK and enjoy trying different cuisines. We loved the Indian dishes as well as familiar options, and by the end of the week we’d tried chicken curry, masala dosas and parathas for breakfast. Our fussy 2 year old son had individual meals prepared by the chefs. The food here was far better than at the 5* resort we went to in the Maldives and the 5* Hilton in Dubai afterwards. We had lounge access too, which was great. The staff there warmed to my son and played with him to keep him occupied, giving my wife and me a chance to relax with drinks and nibbles before dinner. It was a nice, laid-back place to talk with other guests. We’d originally booked three days, then extended to a week. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, though a little dated. Our room was fairly spacious and cleaned to a good standard. It wasn’t the nicest place I’ve stayed, but it was nice overall. The pool was good and the gardens well kept; the kids’ play area could use improvement. After the first three days we moved to a more central hotel, but after one night there we came back to Le Meridien and stayed for the rest of our Kochi visit. I was told they have an extensive refurbishment planned in the near future. If we return to Kochi, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. On our last day I noted a few staff names worth mentioning: Thasleema, Khusbu, Raphi, Rakesh, Sunil, Rajesh, Critical, Deepak, Pradeep, Safnash, Kent and Laxman. Many others deserve credit too, but I didn’t get their names. My wife and I have stayed at many 5* hotels and resorts over the years, and this one will definitely be memorable.

When my daughter was unwell, the team sent her kanji and kept checking on how she was doing. Their kindness went beyond what we expected, and it felt like being cared for by family. Everyone, from check-in and the concierge to the restaurant team, was warm and went out of their way to help. The beautiful property matched the warmth of its people. Special thanks to Anitta and Alvino for the exceptional hospitality. Le Méridien Kochi made our stay unforgettable, and we felt so well looked after that we’ll absolutely return. Our family of three stayed at Le Meridien Kochi from 5th-9th Jan2026, and the hotel took wonderful care of us around our food intolerances. Even when we had to leave at 5am, they packed food for our trip. Executive Chef Sathish Reddy and his team made desserts and snacks that suited our preferences. Bansa kept an eye on diners and knew guests by name; when I forgot my stole at breakfast, she kept it safe and returned it at dinner. Sumit and Immanuel in the dining hall made sure we got what we needed on time. The other specialty chefs, Bibin, Sibin, Atul and Rajesh, made sure we had hearty meals and felt comfortable. Housekeeping was prompt, and our room was always clean with the bed made when we came back tired from a day out. The Ayurvedic massage was good, and the doctor was knowledgeable. The staff were easy to reach when needed while still giving us space. A lovely holiday that left us feeling truly pampered.
