KV Residency

I arrived with an online booking confirmation for KV Residency, but the receptionist said there was no record of my reservation. Even after I showed the confirmation email, they still couldn't find it. Staff offered no real help or investigation, just suggested I try another hotel. When I asked about any other room, they said the hotel was fully booked, which seemed hard to believe with so many empty seats in the lobby. I was left stranded and turned away, with no effort to sort things out or accommodate me. The dismissive response felt disrespectful to a paying customer, and the lack of empathy and accountability badly damaged my view of what could have been a decent hotel. I strongly advise against booking there if you expect them to honor online reservations.

Staff were kind, helpful and gave us good advice for our tour plans. They also kept in touch about our arrival when we'd booked ahead, helping us reach safely. The location felt neat and safe for a family stay, and the rooms were clean. A lovely, sweet place for families, I'd recommend it.

The best parts were being near Gandhipuram bus stand and getting flexible check-in on a 24-hour cycle. They also allowed an extra 30-50 minutes without a charge. But the room had several problems. The faucet in the toilet didn't work, the bathroom mirror light was gone, and some room lights were out. Non-AC windows only had glass and no mesh, so opening them meant mosquitoes and shutting them meant suffocation. There's a bar on one side, and on weekends the non-AC rooms near it were especially unpleasant, so the far side is preferable. The room wasn't cleaned properly, and the bedsheets were stained. Clean sheets came only 12 hours after check-in, after I complained for the third time. They also take at least a day's rent upfront before showing the room. For three adults needing a single bed in addition to a double, they called a folding mattress a folding single bed and said it was free. I only found out these things after paying a hefty amount.

Front desk staff were super helpful, and the compact rooms suit a business trip well. I wouldn't choose it for a vacation, though, since there's no in-house restaurant and nobody available to deliver food. It would be nice if they served at least coffee or tea when guests arrive.
