Lunch at Sri Krishna Vilas Hotel in Coimbatore was the best part for us. Their well-known meals were tasty and affordable, with generous portions. The restaurant was busy with a steady stream of local customers, and the rice, sambar, and vegetable curry were flavorful and satisfying. I especially liked the rich, creamy payasam (sweet pudding) at the end, which was just the right sweetness and left me satisfied. The rooms were a different story. They were basic, not very spacious or luxurious, and less well maintained than we expected. They were manageable for a short stay given the price, but cleanliness and maintenance could be better. The restaurant food, especially the meals and payasam, helped make up for the rooms. It was good value and a solid budget-friendly option for a stay and meal in Coimbatore.

The room rent was 1600, but with rooms this old, I don't think it should be more than 1000. At least it was very clean. Wifi was average, and the staff were polite and friendly. There's an elevator, which is a plus, and the vegetarian restaurant serves some of the best food at reasonable prices.

The manager was humble and handled the rooms very professionally, like a 5 Star Hotel. The staff were kind, and purified drinking water was provided at no extra cost. Parking was free for two-wheelers and four wheelers, and the Elevator worked during my 2 days stay. It's in a very safe area near the Collector's office, and you can get everything you need nearby. I found the place through Google Map during my Bharat Yatra, when I stayed in many dharamshalas, Hotels, and Lodges. They have a pure veg restaurant, but it now serves only lunch. They stopped breakfast and dinner because of competition. For a peaceful overnight stay or a week in Coimbatore, you must visit this hotel.
