Bison Inn Ooty

The caretaker made the whole trip unforgettable, always smiling and making everything easy. It felt like staying with a friend who knew what I needed, and they went above and beyond. At Bison Retreat, I woke up to breathtaking nature and unreal views. The rooms were super comfy, as if the hotel were built into the landscape. It was so peaceful I haven’t slept that well in years. You don’t just stay there, you experience it. Book it, you won’t regret it.

We booked this place through expedia for May 1 to May 4, 2025, two months in advance. When we arrived, the owner refused to let us check in. He was drunk and showed us receipts from Booking.com and other places, saying he had sold the rooms to people who paid more and didn’t care. He left my family and me stranded around 7 in the evening in an isolated place. The property had been leased to someone named Nandkishore, who refused to take responsibility. We were completely stranded over a long weekend, and the trip was a total disaster. Please stay away from this property.

At Bison Inn in Ooty, I found clean rooms, friendly staff, and a peaceful location with lovely views. Everything was well maintained and service was excellent. I had a great stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ooty.

The water was cloudy and dirty, with sand in it, as it comes straight from the river. There was a bad smell in the rooms, and they weren’t clean. Room service was poor, with no proper drinking water or facilities. Russell viper snakes come inside the resort. If you want to enjoy your vacation or trip, don’t stay here.
