Realm Resorts

The cycling through tea gardens was one of the most relaxing parts of our stay, and seeing wild bisons nearby made the place feel wonderfully close to nature. River Dhara is close by too, adding to the peaceful setting. The Realm Resort is beautifully kept, with spotless rooms and lovely views all around. Guru, the main manager and the main guy at the resort, was a big part of what made the stay memorable. He was around from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., always smiling and ready to help, whether he was suggesting places to visit or taking care of little details. His warmth really shows in the hospitality. The food was fresh and tasty, served with genuine care. You can feel how much the team, especially Guru, puts into looking after guests. We had a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend The Realm Resort to anyone visiting Coonoor.

On our third Ooty-Coonoor trip, The Realm resort turned out to be our best discovery. It sits on 3 acre (3 Bigha) of land in the peaceful Nilgiri hills, and it’s among the best places I’ve stayed. The price felt affordable and fairly justified. The staff, especially guru and the others, were very sweet and cooperative. Our only trouble was the weak or absent wifi, made more noticeable by the very weak mobile tower signal there.

A faulty bathroom flush was the only real issue we had. Otherwise it’s a nice place to get away from traffic, with tasty food, friendly owner and staff, and rooms that are clean and well looked after. It’s quiet and pleasant, though the mobile network and Wi-Fi are weak.

The staff are friendly and the food is tasty. It’s a lovely spot among tea estates, and you may even see some bison near the resort.
