OYO 37116 Hotel Singh Palace

The location works well for getting around, and there’s a good restaurant upstairs. Staff were accommodating and helpful, but the room I got looked nothing like the pictures. It was handed over with trash still in it, and cleaning was infrequent. It feels misleading for people booking from a distance.

Our friend arrived late at night after a delayed flight into Patna and heavy rain on the drive to Darbhanga. We had booked directly through a friend and paid in advance, and the hotel had already been told about the late check-in. Still, nobody opened the gate. There were no contact numbers on the websites to call and ask them to open it. This hotel is a disgrace for a city like Darbhanga. I'd recommend sleeping on the roads of Dharbhanga rather than staying here.

The place is quiet and the location is okay. Service was better than the rooms.

After finally getting through a slow check-in, I was charged more than my booking amount. I offered to pay through the Oyo app, but they refused because they wouldn't get the extra payment that way, so I ended up paying more. The room was in terrible condition, dirty, and nothing like the listing. I'd booked an AC room and got a non-AC one. The bathroom was poor, and the bedsheet was filthy, as if liquid had spilled all over it. I went straight to reception to ask for a different room, but the receptionist was rude and ill-mannered. Even when I offered to pay extra, he wouldn't give me another room.
