We stayed at sandrup for 4 nights, from march 25- march 29, and booked two rooms, 401 and 403. I've stayed at almost five different hotels in the area, and the view and helpful staff here are unmatched. The height and location give views that hotels at 3x the price couldn't offer. We were unlucky with the bad weather and couldn't capture the best views most of the time, but even so, I've never seen such a beautiful view from another room costing more than 3-4x the price. There are a few stairs, but they're completely manageable. We had 2 senior citizens and 1 kid with us and it wasn't too bad. The staff were really helpful, guiding us and helping whenever needed. They arranged cars, helped with luggage, and even walked with us all the way to the taxi stand to see us off and bargain for a discounted fare. The hotel was clean, with none of the dirtyness I'd heard about in past reviews, and the way to the hotel was hygienic too. It was a very pleasant stay.

Housekeeping was poor and the room wasn't cleaned properly. The geyser didn't work properly, water supply was inconsistent, and the staff weren't helpful or prompt in answering requests. Hotel maintenance was below expectations, and the facilities didn't feel worth the price. I'm very disappointed with the service and wouldn't recommend this hotel unless cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service improve significantly. 1/5 ⭐

The rooms were clean when we arrived, and hot water ran all day and night. After that, though, housekeeping told us to clean for ourselves. The place smelled bad and was dirty, with lots of stairs and no elevator. Room service was very poor, tea came only when they felt like bringing it, and the cups and cutlery were usually unclean. A strange experience. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room had a decent view, but it was missing basic things: no tea or coffee setup, proper toiletries, or enough towels, and we got just two pillows for what we paid. We also had to climb to the fourth floor because there's no elevator. Two bellboys helped us with our luggage at check-in, but no one helped when we checked out. We carried our suitcases down and through the narrow lanes, then uphill to Mall Road. It was exhausting. Hotel Sandrup is fairly close to Mall Road, though getting there means a steep walk through narrow, confusing alleys. The location may look appealing on paper, but it was inconvenient, especially with luggage. I wouldn't recommend it for a comfortable stay, particularly for families with older guests.

We had to haul all our luggage uphill ourselves, and no staff member offered to help. When we raised the problem, the owner answered with sarcastic remarks instead of addressing it or apologizing. The hotel is tucked into dirty, narrow, poorly kept lanes that felt shady to us, and reaching it was a struggle with no proper access or guidance. Its location might look convenient on paper, but the reality was disappointing. Poor access, no service, and rude behavior made this a terrible stay. I wouldn't recommend going.
