The mountain view from the rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors is a real highlight, with a breathtaking panoramic landscape. Hotel Sonar Bangla is also only a short walk from Mall Road, which is handy if you want to stay near it. The food tasted excellent, and the breakfast spread was especially impressive. I highly recommend it in Darjeeling.

Mr Shintu was the best part of our stay. He was so sweet, friendly, helpful, caring, and good at guiding us. He provided everything we needed, and I’m really happy with his help. The hotel is very close to Keventers and Mall Road Darjeeling, with Glenary nearby too. Our room was great and had all the basics. The restaurant food was top notch, so don’t let the high price put you off trying it. The complimentary breakfast was good as well, and you can see Kanchanjunga from the hotel. Breakfast was extremely limited, and the room was hardly worth the money. I booked a suite, but it felt cramped, especially the main bedroom in the duplex. The hotel is in a good spot near the market, but the property has no lift and the room was on the 4th floor. It’s a poor choice if you’re with an older person or someone with knee pain.

Mall Road is just a few steps away, so the location is very convenient for visiting one of the best places in Darjeeling. My family and I had a memorable stay at Hotel Sonar Bangla. The room had stunning views of Kanchenjunga and was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were welcoming and always ready to help.

The housekeeping and restaurant teams were accommodating, and the front desk staff were wonderful. Breakfast needs a menu change, though. The rooms are small for the price, but it was still a very pleasant stay at Sonar bangal hotel at Darjeeling. We were there from 20th to 22nd morning, and Mall Road is very close by.
