At Hotel Lenpark, hot water took about an hour to arrive, and staff were rude and unprofessional. The beds were very dirty, and the room had no drinking water, soap, or towel. There was a TV, but it didn't work. The nearby mosque made a lot of noise early in the morning, which was very disturbing. You can't even stop in front of the hotel briefly to park, so we had to unload our luggage 100-200 meters away. No one should stay here.
Total nonsense. Dirty rooms and beds, no drinking water or hot water for a bath, and a TV that doesn't work. The staff were rude, and the nearby mosque was so loud in the morning. This hotel ruined my trip.
The room and its facilities were poor, and the TV didn't work. They charged an extra 300 for a heater. The staff weren't friendly either.
The property is old and showing wear and tear, so it needs renovation. Still, for a comfortable stay in Darjeeling, it offers good value for money. The balcony valley view is worth a million bucks, exactly like the website photos. You can see beautiful sunrises and sunsets from there. Staff were polite, helpful, and cordial, and would help with anything, even if you called at 3am. We booked two city tours through their travel desk, and everything was arranged seamlessly.
The rooms are comfortable and have good views, and the food is good too. Staff are accommodating and willing to help with requests. Service is slow overall, so you may need to remind them two or three times. Each room gets just one bath towel, even when two or three people are sharing. For lunch or dinner, order ahead and tell them what time you want it. It'll be ready when you arrive.
