The room and the view were a big part of what made this stay memorable. We had the Valley View Privilege Suite, which was comfortable and well equipped, including a heater that mattered in the cold. Seeing Kanchenjunga clearly from the room in the morning was magical. Pramod at the restaurant was attentive, polite, and warm, looking after us at every meal. Chef Sanjeev also kindly packed phaley for me just before we left, since I hadn’t been able to try it during the trip. That thoughtful gesture says a lot about the team’s flexibility and care. Sterling Darjeeling delivered on comfort, service, and views, and the property felt well managed. It exceeded our expectations, and we’d recommend it and hope to return.

Suraksha, who was new and training, took great care of us and kept our room spotless. Sanjay, Sunita, and Doma on the dining team were just as attentive and warm, handling orders quickly and meeting our requests. When we said our view was partly blocked, reception promptly arranged a room with a better one. The staff throughout were professional, courteous, and responsive. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend Sterling to friends and anyone visiting Darjeeling or nearby areas.
