Muscatel BhumSang - 200Mts from MallRoad

The hospitality at Mascatel Bhoomsang Hotel made my stay memorable. The staff were polite, helpful, and ready to assist with a smile, and Anu Lepcha from room service deserves a special mention for being so kind and attentive. She made sure everything was just right. My room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the hills. It’s a warm place with great service and location, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Darjeeling.

For 6200/- a night, this was a very bad experience. There were no room heaters, even on freezing nights when we were travelling with kids. Food choices were limited. The Rs 500/- per head buffet dinner had rice, dal, roti, vegetable (kumro alu bhaja) and rohu fish. At breakfast, they seemed to push what they wanted to serve instead of respecting our preferences. The location is also misrepresented: it's approximately 300 meters from Keventer's, uphill with a lot of traffic, not 200 mts from the Mall as stated. The hotel was nothing like its advertisement, and the service was utterly poor. I wanted to give negative stars if I could. Muscatel never again, and I don't recommend it to tourists.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and service was quick. The staff and manager were very polite, cooperative, and helpful, and really made us feel at home. The food was fresh and tasty too. It’s a cozy, peaceful, friendly place to stay in Darjeeling. Highly recommend! 🌸

I loved my stay and wish I could have stayed longer. I’ll be back after week for sure. Highly recommended if you want comfort and great service!
