Madras Chronicle Bay Resort & Spa

Mr. Shyam looked after everything personally and was there to help throughout, which made our weekend feel extra special. We had a lovely getaway at Madras Chronicle Resort Malibalipuram. The property was cozy and very well maintained, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The Madras Chronicle restaurant’s food was wonderful, from breakfast to room service, all thoughtfully prepared. Thanks for a memorable stay. We’d love to return.

The resort made sightseeing easy, with convenient access to the Shore Temple and nearby attractions. Our spacious, neat rooms had lovely pool views that added to the calm atmosphere. The pool was a highlight, always clean and well maintained, and especially nice for a peaceful evening dip. Breakfast each morning was excellent, and the complimentary evening snacks were a lovely surprise. Staff were warm, attentive, and ready to help throughout our visit. It was a relaxing and memorable stay with comfort, cleanliness, and good hospitality. We’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Mahabalipuram.

I’d planned to explore Mahabalipuram, but the resort was so inviting that I ended up spending my time there instead. The property was beautiful, and the staff, security, and hospitality were exceptional. Evening tea and morning breakfast were delightful. I truly loved the stay, and kudos to the management for keeping things to such a high standard.

This is a small, simple place tucked into a quiet area, with very polite and welcoming staff. The rooms were clean and had the basic bathroom amenities. The pool is open every day from 7am to 8pm, and breakfast was nice, with a good range of South Indian dishes. High tea was a letdown: the onion pakoda was too greasy and the bonda needed salt. There’s a beach gate about 500m away, open from 6am to 6pm, but the path to it is dirty. Staff even suggested using the main road instead.
