Hotel White Yak Darjeeling

We had a really helpless experience when my three-year-old became unwell and vomited in the restaurant area. It happened once, while our group of 10 was there. Staff gave us a cloth and told us to clean it. I asked if a hotel cleaner could help and offered to pay, but they said he had left at 5 pm. When I asked for a stick to clean with, they said they didn’t have one and insisted we handle it. My husband ended up cleaning it himself, and no staff member came to help. Later, another guest broke a liquor bottle in the second-floor common area, and staff cleaned that with a stick. When I asked why they had said they didn’t have one, they claimed they hadn’t understood that I wanted it for cleaning. I needed to care for my baby, and being asked to clean in that situation was upsetting. I don’t know how they clean the hotel bathrooms if they couldn’t help us. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel in case something similar happens to you. To be fair, staff did help us at midnight on that cold day, and we’re grateful for that. But the claim that my child vomited multiple times is untrue. No one cleaned up or helped when it happened.
