Beechwood Holiday Apartments

The food is awesome, and there are two restaurants in the hotel plus an open guest lounge where you can have a bonfire. The rooms work best for couples. With a child, or three people, there's very little space for an extra bed. They have automatic, advanced facilities in the rooms. The hotel is on Mall Road, so you can walk around there even at midnight.

I think I visited before lockdown, around 2018-19. Just fabulous.

The balconies really make the location stand out, and the views are good. Rooms are on the small side and a little expensive, though the property is well maintained. The washroom smelled, and the bedsheets weren't properly clean.

The view from the hotel was really nice. The rest was so bad that I can't see how it got a 4-star rating. Every area I could judge, from service and upkeep to room quality, size, freshness, odor control and staff response, was a failure. The toilet smell was suffocating as soon as I entered the room, so I had to come back out. The room was tiny, the floor and toilet were dirty, and the almira was so filthy I couldn't put my clothes in it. I called reception and waited about ten minutes for someone to come. He said he couldn't do much about the smell but could spray air freshener. After that, I had to keep the exhaust on all night and barely managed to use the washroom. The room was dirty throughout.
