Ida Hotel

The stay and the food were both very expensive, and the way we were treated didn't feel professional. The restaurant food was average, but the prices were above five-star level. One item clearly showed an MRP of 725, yet we were charged 2300 rupees. When we pointed it out, they just smiled. I wasn't well and asked for dal khichdi. At first they wouldn't make it in their kitchen. My friends were eating at the restaurant, so I asked if I could bring it in from outside and sit with them at the terrace food table. They said outside food wasn't allowed there. I explained again that I was unwell and they didn't offer it themselves, but they still wouldn't consider it. It felt like they were hiding behind a seven-star protocol.

This is the worst hospital in Dehradun. There's no parking space for hotel guests, and the staff service and behavior are very cheap and third class.

A great place to relax, with a rooftop pool and amazing views. The restaurant has all the major cuisines, and the bar is well stocked. The food tasted authentic and was really satisfying. We had an awesome stay and would highly recommend it.

The library on every floor is a lovely feature, and the staff were courteous. Our Chinese dinner at the hotel was good, as was the breakfast, though the buffet was small. The property felt a little overpriced. The first room they showed us wasn't acceptable, but after we insisted, they moved us to a good one. Most rooms don't have a view, or look out onto buildings. A soap holder in the shower area would also be useful.
