OYO 26602 Hotel Shubham

The hotel looks good and the staff are good too. But the complimentary breakfast is allotted per room, not per guest. For a 3x room, they give one aloo paratha with tea, even if there are three people, so maybe they have to divide it between them. Anything beyond that one aloo paratha costs extra. They should take the word complimentary off the OYO site. Water wasn't provided in one of our rooms. Other than that, I suppose everything was okay.

The location is excellent and the price is affordable. Staff behavior was very good and supportive. A few basics need improvement, like the washroom fittings and fixtures, the main door handles and locks, and mosquito coils. You can also book your stay through websites.

The room was good and clean, and the large window gave a good view. There was parking available. But the place has a lot of potential that is being spoiled by poor maintenance and staff or management who seem least bothered. The water from the tap tasted bad, the blankets stank, and the lights were dim.

Its biggest plus is being close to the old city main market. The rooms are large, but they aren't well maintained or cared for, and service is quite slow. It's fine if you're exploring Dehradun and only plan to spend the nights at the hotel.
