Mr Hari, the caretaker, was polite, helpful, and always there when we needed him. The hospitality was good, and everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Veenus Cottage was clean and well maintained, with comfortable rooms in a quiet, peaceful part of Dhanaulti. Mr Sanjay, the owner, was very nice and shared all the itenary in advance. Everything was transparent, with no hidden fees. The location was convenient, though the narrow road and heavy traffic made getting there difficult. It’s a good choice if you want calm surroundings away from the crowds. I’d suggest not being put off by a few negative reviews, since they didn’t match our experience. We had a pleasant stay and I’d recommend Veenus Cottage.

The property, garden, and bonfire area were all lovely, but the hill view was especially awesome. Everything looked neat and clean. I was very happy booking with the owner, Mr. Khanna, and talking to him was a great experience. The caretaker, who also cooked, was very helpful and made delicious food for us.

The owner was rude and seemed very focused on money. The caretaker did everything half-heartedly, with no empathy, compassion, or hospitality. I wouldn’t book this stay. They’ll ask you for money for everything afterward.

The rooms smelled, and we had a horrible experience. We booked two nights and paid 50% in advance, but the owner was rude and unresponsive. The next day, he locked the cottage and demanded the remaining 50% of the rent upfront, even though we’d agreed to pay at checkout. It was shocking and harassing, especially as we were a family with children. Don’t book here if you want a peaceful vacation.
