Vishnu Palace

We spent two days here as a family, and the staff made a lovely impression. They even packed breakfast for all of us when we had to leave around 4am for our flight. The restaurant has outdoor seating and served delicious food, and the rooms were spacious and quite clean. Hot water was available 24×7. The location is ideal, just a few meters from library chowk. There was a power cut for a while one evening. The inverter was available, but the heater wasn't connected to it. It wasn't a major problem, since the electricity came back in about an hour.

The location is a real plus, very close to mall road and library chowk, and the ambience is nice. Room service was good, but there were no balconies, and the towels could have been cleaner. I paid a bit much, and a premium himalyan view room shouldn't cost more than 5000, in my opinion. Our first-day sandwich looked below the expected standard, almost like something we'd made at home, so we didn't order food again until our last-night dinner at the hotel, which was good and worth it. A little more greeting and attention from management would make guests feel welcome. Indoor games and someone to spend time with guests could also give the stay more of a resort feel.

The rooms and bathrooms were neat and well maintained, and the staff were polite, helpful, and quick to respond. We also enjoyed the fresh, tasty food at the in-house restaurant, especially the good breakfast spread. Rooms with valley views are well worth choosing. I loved waking up to the mountain air and hills from the balcony. Hotel Vishnu Palace, Mussoorie is close to Mall Road, while still feeling peaceful and away from the crowds.

The property and rooms are on the older side, but they were clean and comfortable. Food was average, nothing special, though acceptable. We found the staff helpful and room service prompt. It's a convenient spot for shopping and sightseeing, very close to Mall Road, and the room had a pleasant, relaxing mountain view. There's also open space and a kids play area, which works well for families. It was a decent stay in Mussoorie.
