Better Wish Residency by OYO Rooms

The day started pleasantly. The male receptionist was polite, offered us water, and even brought wine glasses up himself when I called to ask for them, since no other staff were around. We were given Room 9 on what I think was the 3rd or 4th floor. There was no elevator, so using the stairs was difficult. I had booked and paid for a full-day stay on April 22, from exactly 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, which was 12 hours. I understood that staying beyond that meant booking a full 24 hours, and I hadn’t done that. Around 6:00-6:30 PM, a female receptionist called and told us to check out. It seemed the male receptionist’s shift had ended and she had taken over. She said hotel check-in and checkout hours were 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and insisted we leave because the room had been assigned to another guest. I explained several times that I’d told the male receptionist when booking that we planned to stay from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. He hadn’t mentioned an 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM limit, and I’d confirmed the details beforehand without being told my booking conflicted with hotel policy. She kept interrupting, then stopped responding. On the call she wouldn’t listen and abruptly hung up. When I went to reception, she argued with me, demanded I remove my mask before speaking, and said, “You’re not from around here; that’s why you’re speaking to me like this.” I hadn’t been rude, and I was shocked by the remark. As paying guests, we expected to be treated respectfully, not to stay quiet and obey unreasonable demands. The incident made us feel very unwelcome and overshadowed the good service from earlier. I’d been enjoying the stay until then. I paid according to the terms we’d agreed on, and urge management to investigate and take action. This kind of disrespectful, unprofessional treatment is unacceptable and harms the hotel’s reputation.

I booked an overnight stay, but they gave me a day stay instead. I was alone with my daughter and explained that there’d been a misunderstanding: I’d booked for 24 hours and wanted to change it to overnight. I was willing to pay extra, but the staff wouldn’t listen and hung up on me. The staff were horrible and cheated people. Don’t waste your money with them.

The staff were really nice and friendly, and very helpful. I’m from Ahmedabad and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay. Honestly, I didn’t expect the rooms to be this clean.

The pictures on booking apps show the suite rooms, while the classic rooms cost three times more than the prices displayed there. Management tries to persuade you to check in directly for a suite, saying the classic rooms have water seepage. There are rats in the rooms too, and they don’t seem to know how to get rid of them.
