Within 5-10 min of checking in, I contacted the travel booking platform because the room and the staff were unacceptable. The travel partner was supportive, helped cancel the booking, and arranged another option nearby. But as I was leaving, the helpdesk staff became abusive and tried to make me pay for the whole day, demanding almost double what I'd paid. They said they couldn't assign the room to someone else after I'd checked in, even though I had been there barely 5 minutes. They only let me leave after the travel partner booked one day on behalf of the hotel. I'd booked an AC room, but the window frame had no window, so the temperature couldn't be maintained and the AC was useless. Staff told me it was the best room they had. The walls were crumbling, with red spit-like stains, and there was ash and dirt all over the floor. The bathroom had broken tiles and broken electric boards. There were no toiletries, despite them being mentioned during booking. The sheets and pillows were visibly stained, the mirror was so dirty I could barely see my reflection, and even the lift felt like it might stop working at any moment. Staff were rude and dismissive when I raised these problems, denying there was anything wrong. Although the travel platform used the name FabHotels, and their boards and business cards mentioned it, they refused to acknowledge any tie-up with FabHotels. The staff's abusive behavior says a lot about the service. The room, false claims, and aggressive treatment made this the worst hotel experience I've ever had. Avoid it, whether travelling alone or with family. I shared relevant photos so others don't go through the same trouble.
