Fabhotel Hargobind Enclave

The reception person was arrogant and wouldn't answer genuine questions properly. Staff made a lot of noise after midnight, so I couldn't sleep. The room smelled as if it had just been painted, and it was badly maintained with basic things missing, like a mirror in the toilet. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels across India, and this was a very bad experience.

FAB hotels seems focused on making money without maintaining standards. The facilities in its affiliated hotels need to be inspected and audited. There was no chair to sit on, the TV had no connection, and the washroom had no mirror. I asked for a doormat, but it only arrived just before checkout. The washroom bucket was so ugly that for a while I couldn't figure out how to bathe with it. The rooms weren't clean, and the telephone connection was cut off while I was trying to call them.

The only decent thing about this hotel is that there’s a door to leave through. Public restrooms are cleaner and better maintained than these rooms. We paid 4k+ for two nights and switched rooms twice, but each one was worse. The floors were dirty, the walls had dampness, mold, and rust, and the ACs didn't work. There was dust all over the bed and cupboard, as if nobody had cleaned in ages. The beds had disgusting stains, and the bathrooms were filthy. Staff only came to help after we called about 10 times. They didn't provide toiletries, refused our request for an extra towel, and also wouldn't give us a toothbrush and toothpaste, though other 3 star fabhotels provide them. It wasn't worth the money.

The stay was awful. Cockroaches came from the bathroom and from under the bed, and I had to switch between three rooms. I also needed several rounds of hit sprays to kill mosquitoes. The room wasn't properly clean. Dharamshalas cost half as much and are better than this place.
