“This old haveli is still standing,” the caretaker said when I asked about the hotel. Najeeb Jung owns it. He was Delhi’s governor from 2013 to 2016, and now lives in the USA; caretakers manage the property. We booked a room for two nights, and the caretaker kindly gave us a discount. The room was in good condition, the hospitality was excellent, and Wi-Fi and basic amenities were available. Delhi Gate metro station is within walking distance, and NDLS is about 3 kilometres away.
